Rally for Peace Initiative
The Rally for Peace was initiated in response to Will County’s first murder victims of 2026, which occurred yesterday, Sunday, January 25, 2026, on Joliet’s east side. Our peace rally in Joliet focused on stopping violence in our community. Despite sub-zero temperatures, we determined this event was essential to demonstrate our commitment to ending violence.
Our street outreach team received strong community support, with many passing motorists honking in solidarity. The outreach team has been working tirelessly in harsh winter conditions, responding to consecutive shootings and property damage from active shooters in various neighborhoods throughout the community.
